In October 2003 we were passing by Grand Junction, Colorado on our way to the balloon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our motor home broke down in Grand Junction, and before we had left town we had acquired the location of the old Rocky Mountain Roasted Coffees. We have roasted coffee for years in Oregon, and were inspired for the need for a good cup of coffee in Grand Junction. After being in Grand Junction for a year and a half we moved our business to a larger location with offices and warehouse space. We also purchased a brand new Deidrich Roaster and now enjoy the space of a newer facility with more room for growth. You will find Colorado Legacy Coffee in Grand Junction’s premier coffee houses as well as stretched over the entire western slope of Colorado. But back to “Our Story”—We acquired the business early into our vacation and spent the rest of our vacation wondering, “What the heck did we just do?” Have you ever know anyone who purchased a business far from home while on vacation? Well now you do! We are the Welsh’s and we own Colorado Legacy Coffee in Grand Junction, Colorado and we LOVE it!
